During the grand trailer launch of Deva, Shahid addressed Saif’s stabbing incident and said, “Nahi aap jo kahe rahe hai bahut sad incident hai, hum sab concerned. Sab fraternity see bahut bahut concerned hai. We all hope Saif’s health is better. We hope he is feeling better I think hum sab bahut hi shocked the jo hua unke saath, itni personal space pe bahut hi mushkil cheez hai absorb karna Mumbai jaise shehar main. I am sure police puri koshish kar rahi hai, aisa hota nahi hai Mumbai bahut hi safe shehar hai. Hum proudly bolte hai agar hum 2 ya 3 baje bhi koi family members ho ya ladies ho bahut safe reheta. Bahut hi shocking incident and we are hoping and praying for his health.”

Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery under the supervision of a team of doctors. His team confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he was out of danger and had been moved to the ICU. Later in the evening, Kareena Kapoor, Saif’s wife issued a statement, urging privacy. “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage,” read the statement.

The statement further reads, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”
